Kimberly Souriyakhamphong is an Associate Attorney at the Abbeville location. She began her career as an Attorney in New Orleans, and decided to make the return home. Kimberly earned her J.D., cum laude, in 2018 from the Southern University Law Center where she was a member of the Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty and selected by her professors for membership into the American Inns of Court.
Before attending law school, Kimberly worked as a home health and medical-surgical nurse. After nearly half a decade in healthcare, she wanted to transform her passion for humanity into a legal platform. During law school, she presented indigent individuals as a Student Attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic in a wide range of misdemeanor offenses, such as drug possession, assault, and battery, and felony cases. She also earned the pro-bono award for completing +300 pro-bono hours.
Understanding the importance of practical experience, Kimberly worked as an intern for federal and state judges including the Honorable Brian Jackson of the United States Middle District and the Honorable Fredericka Wicker of Louisiana’s Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also worked as a research and writing law clerk at Miguel Elias, Pecanette & Associates, and Fenet, Treadway, and Gaudin.
Passionate about serving others, she volunteers with Our Savior’s Church, Baton Rouge Bar Association, and Acadiana’s Autism Walk for Hope. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and her four-legged companion, Game.
